Joey Baynes

Lead Pastor

Joey is a native of North Carolina. Born and raised in Greensboro, it was here that he would meet Jesus at a young age, fall in love with Nicole, and serve in his first student ministry. Joey answered the call to ministry while attending Pensacola Christian College and he earned his degree in Biblical Studies. Upon returning home, Joey and Nicole married and served as student pastor in Greensboro for 3 years. God called them to Dunn, NC to serve as student pastor for over 8 years at Central Baptist Church. While in Dunn, God blessed them with 2 boys, Caleb and Jacob. During the 12 years of student ministry, Joey was given opportunities to preach, see large numbers of students saved, develop leaders, lead missions teams, lead a building project, establish campus ministries, establish and lead a multi site campus, and grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. At the beginning of 2011, God called Joey to reach his hometown, Greensboro, with the gospel of Christ by planting Restoration Church. He is an avid fisherman, hunter, Tar heel fan and enjoys spending time with family and friends. Joey’s passion is to see the gospel take root in the hearts of people in Greensboro which will result in lives being restored for Jesus, and churches planted throughout the world.

Jason Fletcher

Associate Pastor

Jason was born and raised right here in Greensboro, and accepted Christ at an early age. He then accepted the call to ministry in 1994, and after graduating high school at Vandalia Christian, learned that there was more than corn in Indiana and received a B.A. in Biblical Literature from Taylor University. After college, he moved back to NC and attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC where he met and married his beautiful life and ministry partner, Amy. The Lord blessed them with two precious daughters, Eden and Caroline. Jason was privileged to pastor two churches in South Carolina before moving back to Greensboro in 2016 to be part of what God was doing at Restoration. His personal mission is to point and encourage people to passionately follow Jesus, our only hope in this life and the next. In his spare time, Jason leads American Furniture Warehouse, Greensboro’s largest furniture store.

Jimmy Jones

Associate Pastor/ Sr Adult pastor

Jimmy Jones, long-time member of Rocky Knoll Baptist Church, continues
to serve the Lord as Senior Adult Pastor of the newly merged church, Restoration at the Rock.
In his role, Jimmy ministers to all adults, especially to the retired and semi-retired members of our congregation. It is his desire to see people come to know Christ and to be strengthened and encouraged in their daily walk with the Lord.

Jason Waller

Worship and Student Leader

God called Jason and his wife Allyson to Greensboro in 2012 to help plant Restoration Church. Jason and Allyson love serving and equipping the church, and worshipping together. Jason is passionate about worship, more specifically worship through song. He has been singing ever since he was a little kid growing up in a little old Baptist church in Polkton, NC. Jason loves to see people's lives transformed and restored to Christ through music. God has used praise and worship to shape and change his own life, and he desires to be used by God to bring about change in today's church and the world.

Sarah Collins

Children's Director

Sarah grew up in Fuquay-Varina, NC and asked Jesus to be her Savior at the age of seven. Sarah married her husband, Bryan, in 2001, after she graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. Bryan and Sarah met The Baynes and became friends while living in Dunn, NC in 2008. A few years later, Joey and Nicole shared the vision of a church plant in Greensboro and Bryan and Sarah felt God calling them to be a part of Restoration Church. Together, Bryan and Sarah have served and led several years in Youth Ministry. Sarah has served in various areas of Children’s Ministry since her early teen years. They believe that Children’s Ministry is not a babysitting service but an opportunity for kids to meet Jesus on their level in a fun and exciting environment.
Sarah enjoys home and craft projects, cake decorating, and is a devoted Hobby Lobby customer. They have three boys, Joshua, Nathan, and Levi.

Mallory Autwell

Children's Intern

Mallory Autwell is a Senior in high school. She grew up at Rocky Knoll prior to the merge with Restoration Church. While volunteering in the rKids ministry, she has seen the eternal impact and developed a love for serving. For Mallory, it has been such a blessing to see all of the children in rkids ministry and the affect she has on their lives as they learn more about Jesus. She enjoys the UNC Tar Heels, golf, art, music, fishing, summertime, and having fun with our student group.
