In God We Trust.

This powerful message challenges some deeply held misconceptions about Jesus, money, and wealth that have shaped our understanding of Christian living. We often picture Joseph and Mary as perpetually poor, Jesus as homeless and destitute, and the disciples as struggling missionaries. But when we examine Scripture closely, a different picture emerges—one where God provided extravagantly through the gifts of the wise men, where Jesus had wealthy supporters funding His ministry, and where the disciples had enough resources to employ a treasurer. The heart of this teaching isn't about prosperity for its own sake, but about recognizing that we've already been given an inheritance through Christ. Romans 8:32 reminds us that God 'will graciously give us all things' along with His Son. Too many of us live with an 'Eeyore mindset,' believing we must wait until heaven to experience God's goodness. But the truth is, we're called to be faithful stewards of what we've been given right now—whether that's financial resources, time, or talents. This message confronts both the poverty mentality that keeps us from receiving God's blessings and the materialistic greed that turns wealth into an idol. The challenge before us is to recognize our spiritual richness in Christ, practice generous stewardship, and live freely without the bondage of debt or the chains of religious performance. We don't earn our inheritance—it's already ours through faith in Jesus.
